The Citadel of Qaitbay is a 15th-century fortress located on the Mediterranean coast of Alexandria, Egypt. Built by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qaitbay in 1477, it stands on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria.
